A Client's Success Story

February 2016 - A single father with two young children recently came through our Social Programs door seeking assistance. The mother to his children had left him and the children & he wasn’t sure how he was going to pay his rent because he was so far behind. We were able to assist him with his rent and he committed to weekly case management and budgeting class and we worked on different recipes to cook. While his commitment with us, he was able to save $500.00 and keep up on his bills. Then 7 months later after he quit attending case management, he called to get assistance because he had fallen behind on his rent again. We discussed Transitional Living and he decided to enter the program. Since being in the program he was able to get eye surgery because he was almost blind, he received his High School Equivalency certificate and enrolled in his first semester of college.
